Pink Woman Meals Photographer of the Yr 2024 competitors winners

Purple Bean Paste Balls, by Chinese language photographer Zhonghua Yang, has gained the general prize within the Pink Woman® Meals Photographer of the Yr 2024.

The picture, which got here first within the Champagne Taittinger Meals for Celebration class, was taken within the rural space of Xiangshan, Zhejiang throughout preparations for the Spring Pageant, also called Chinese language New Yr.

Celebratory traditions embody making dim sum, akin to crimson bean dumplings, steamed rice truffles and glutinous rice cake.

“Lucy and Tony, and their children, made the long journey from Kent to the Isle of Skye to get married.

This year’s judging panel, assessing thousands of entries submitted from more than 65 countries, was chaired by food photographer David Loftus and included Fiona Shields, head of photography at Guardian News & Media and Rein Skullerud, senior photographer and photo editor, United Nations World Food Programme.

An exhibition of all the finalists can be seen, between 5-9 June, at the Mall Galleries, London.
