WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Seven folks, together with a six-year-old and 16-year-old, have been killed when a bus overturned east of Vicksburg, Mississippi, early Saturday, Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey mentioned.

The 2 younger victims have been siblings, in response to the coroner.

The Mississippi Freeway Patrol mentioned the incident happened round 12:40 a.m. on Interstate 20 close to Bovina in Warren County when a 2018 Volvo (OTC:) business passenger bus touring westbound left the roadway and overturned.

Thirty-seven passengers have been transported to totally different hospitals with unknown accidents, the company mentioned. It mentioned the co-driver was not transported.

“Anytime you have people injured or killed, it’s tragic but when you have a situation like this where you have multiple fatalities and multiple injuries, it makes it even worse,” Warren County Sheriff Martin Tempo informed an ABC affiliate.

Huskey mentioned many of the passengers on the bus have been Latin American.
