Suspect arrested in deadly capturing of 17-year-old Lengthy Seaside lady

A suspect has been arrested within the deadly capturing of a 17-year-old Lengthy Seaside lady who was killed whereas strolling house.

The suspect was recognized as 34-year-old Troy Lamar Fox, of Lengthy Seaside, who’s accused of killing Briana Soto in March, authorities stated.

Authorities stated they pursued DNA, video and cellphone proof to establish Fox, who they found was already in Los Angeles County sheriff’s custody on an unrelated weapons violation.

In response to the Lengthy Seaside Press-Telegram, Soto had been strolling house the evening of March 26 whereas speaking to her mom on the cellphone. She was shot shortly after hanging up and simply steps away from her door close to eleventh Avenue and Lewis Avenue, the paper quoted police as saying.

“Briana Soto was just 17 years old when she was tragically taken away from her family,” Lengthy Seaside Police Chief Wally Hebeish stated in a press release Friday. “We will be working closely with our partners throughout the criminal justice system to ensure Briana and her family receive the justice they deserve.”

In feedback to native TV stations, those that knew Soto described her as candy and a tough employee.

Along with being arrested within the killing of Soto, Fox was arrested on suspicion of tried homicide in a separate capturing that occurred in April close to the 1300 block of Pine Avenue.
