US to debate financial assist for Bangladesh interim authorities By Reuters

(Reuters) -U.S. officers will maintain talks with Bangladesh’s interim authorities to see how the USA can assist the nation’s economic system and improvement, the U.S. State and Treasury departments stated on Tuesday.

A U.S. Treasury spokesperson stated the delegation was anticipated to fulfill with high-level members of the interim authorities, together with Yunus, international affairs adviser Mohammad Touhid Hossain, finance and commerce adviser Salehuddin Ahmed, and Bangladesh Financial institution Governor Ahsan Mansur.

“The United States is optimistic that, by implementing needed reforms, Bangladesh can address its economic vulnerabilities and build a foundation for continued growth and increased prosperity,” Neiman, assistant Treasury secretary for worldwide finance, stated in a press release.
